Very helpful and informative site. My 4/5 year old gingko has not grown much, but now I realise that that is nothing to worry about.

Hi Cor,

Thanks for the great info about Ginkgo Biloba. I had 2 trees in pots, that I purchased some 3 years ago. Would you please tell me when is the best time to plant it in the ground. I am afraid to freeze them in winter time. They both look very good and healty but I move them in winter time in the garage.
Can they withstand winter freeze at this age (4 - 5 year-old).
I would appreciate if you find few minutes to reply and once again, thanks for the info on your site.

First, I hope you are ok considering what Japan has been through. Ten years ago I picked up two fleshy leaf shaped seed pods at the most famous Tibetan Buddhist temple in Lijiang. I have propagated many things and the time is right to propagate these pods. Your site is very helpful. Would I propagate these differently from the other seeds? Thank you.

Fantastic, very informative and very alluring in an artistic sense compared to most websites . I have a courtyard dominated by a 28 year old female tree that I planted when I bought our house. It's grown into a majestic tree and always looks sensational. EXCEPT when the seeds fall :-) A small price to pay for such a great tree however. Keep up the good work. Cheers...........Bruce

Thanks for your website. I'm a reporter in Seattle doing a story about ginko trees. I'm looking for someone in this area who has a connection to and/or knowledge the ginko trees that survived the bombing of Hiroshima. If you know of someone in Seattle like this, please let me know - swaller (at) kuow.org. Thanks.
