Fantastic! so many things that I never knew about Ginkgo. I loved learning about the symbiotic algae particularly, and the photos of the ancient trees in Asia are amazing! Keep up the good work!

This is a fabulous website. I have been a huge fan of the Ginkgo since college days when I was introduced to the Ginkgo while majoring in Botany. I now have them in my yard and many in pots. What a beautiful tree!

Ginkgo biloba L. - Rozšírenie na Slovensku (Ginkgo biloba L. - Extension in Slovakia)avel Hrubík, Peter Čepček, Ján Kollár - Abstract: Long-term research of the cultural expansion of Ginkgo biloba in Slovakia (including a wide range of introduced and autochtonous plants), in historic parks and gardens, recorded more than 80 habitats of rare plants. The biological and ecological characteristics of ginkgo (planting, flowering, breeding, generative and vegetative propagation) have been evaluated and data about tree growth characteristics have been obtained. Photo documentation presents the most important trees in summer and winter aspects. The gene pool of Ginkgo biloba L. is proposed for state protection of nature.

Muchas gracias. Disfruto mucho leyendo toda su información.";

Just writing to thank you very much for an excellent reference site for one of my favorite trees. I have a passion for ancient tree varieties such as magnolias, cedars and hemlocks, and of course, the gingko biloba. I have a 5 year old male Autumn Gold in a large pot which has happily survived two winters out on my deck, and am considering spots in my large yard to finally plant it in the earth. It is wonderful to find others with similar interest in these unique trees. Best wishes for your site and blog. Rik

Hi there we have a very large very old ginko tree in our yard. Brought over by a Japanese family who lived in the home around the turn of the century. Would you like to add our tree to your site?
thank you
