Thank you so much for your extensive website!
San Diego Zoological Society has a lovely stand of ginkgo trees at its Safari Park in San Diego County, California. I started with a tiny seedling from their garden store a few years ago, and now have a potted 4 foot tree on my balcony. Happy to read on your site that I can top the tree this fall, before it outgrows the available space!

Hi Cor. I have a Gingko tree I purchased in 1982. It was large then. Turns out it was a female tree. It is very unusual in a number of ways. It is upright. I've read that female trees usually spread. It doesn’t produce much fruit, and the BIG news is the fruits have a very light oder. A local nurseryman took about 10 cuttings to be grafted. I have many small seedling trees I would love to find a home for. Branches for grafting are also welcome. My number is 785 969 9988. If my address is needed please let me know. Thank you, Mike Brookshire

I've always loved the ginkgo tree. I was pleased to pick out a spot for my beloved mother's burial in a cemetery where there are a dozen gingko trees. They are beautiful any time, but especially in the Fall. Thank you, Cor Kwant, for your informative website!

Hallo Cor.

Top site!

Succes verder. Met vriendelike groet.

Hello there

I have an aunt in Germany who loves Ginkgo trees and in every city she visits, she tries to find one. I live in northern Finland and can tell you we have a ginkgo here in the Oulu University Botanical Gardens, in a greenhouse.

http://www.oulu.fi/biodiversityunit/node/16480

Is this maybe the most northern tree ?

Thanks for this website

Karin
