Hi Cor,
LOVE the site. Can you help me though. I have a number of seeds which have been in my fridge for the last 3 months now having followed the procedures you gave and there is absolutely no sign whatsoever of any germination. What's going wrong? Dawn

Fell in love with the Ginko when in college in Buffalo, NY. I ran past it every day - year round. When I bought a house I had to have a Ginko - that was 20 years ago - just found out this fall that it is a female! will be preparing seeds for planting in the spring!

Thanks for a wonderful website you have created. I saw my first gingkos in China where I worked for 8 years as an Elementary school teacher. Since my return to Perth I have planted two gingko plants and they are a constant source of joy.
The town square in Xian has a mass of beautiful mature gingko trees.

30 years ago an illustrator friend picked up some Ginkgo seeds in the university grounds Bologna, she took them back home to Vienna and grew the. Last year they had seeds and she sent me about 50. they all failed except 3 which are now thriving. I keep them on the kitchen windowsill facing north. Italy to Austria to England!

thank you for your wonderful site - we live in the south east of Portugal and I have one small ginkgo in the ground but it is struggling ! I have been given some seed and your site has inspired me to try your suggested method for germination. I hope to have more ginkgo trees.

There is a ginkgo tree in the Capability Brown designed, Newton Park, Bath currently occupied by Bath Spa University. I think its a male and its leaves are not divided at all. Its beside the Greek temple and is about 30ft tall.
