I love your dedication to the ginkgo! I have a twenty year old tree. I also found two females that I have permission to pick up all the seeds I want. I will be starting some closer to spring.

ps:j'avais dans mon "jardin" d'enfance un ginkgo qui datait de 1840 il a été coupé (assassiné en 1979!!Je n'en ai jamais vu de plus beau depuis et il reste dans ma mémoire comme un parent que la bétise humaine à détruit.";

Beautiful pictures of Ginkgo biloba. (Gink means gold, go/guo means fruit.) Do you know that these fruits are edible?

Just a thank for this amazing site. I am a quilt artist in the midst of designing an art quilt centered around the ginkgo tree. Your site is exactly what I have been looking for. Thank you again.

I am very impressed with this tree too, and grateful for your effort to make Ginkgo close to us - humans. I think that GOD made it to help us to find the health.
Best regards

hallo cor,
herzlichen danke für diese excellente, wie liebevolle webseite";

Hoi Ginkgoman,

Thanks so much for this amazing site. I run a community plant nursery and i'm so excited about growing these from seed and doing cuttings and grafting. Thanks for all the amazing advice.
I must admit that I picked up the fruits I found without gloves and even popped out the seeds in my sink with no side effects. I must be lucky. I even didn't mind the smell too much - perhaps I have dinosaur blood?

I just came home with 3 seeds from a very old (100+) tree at our botanical gardens. I've read your instructions - wish my 3 little ginkos luck!

I recently made a post about the ginkgo trees on the campus of IU Bloomington. I mentioned that there are two large gingko trees, which are male and female. It turns out that the tree I thought was specifically male also makes fruit, but not every year. Both trees seem to have male and female characteristics. There is another large ginkgo nearby that also produces fruit. I am currently trying to figure out the ages of these trees. This past spring I sprouted some trees from the seeds of these giants and I am amazed by how solid my half year old trees have become. I plan to use a lot of them for bonsai and the rest of them I will plant. I feel like the ginkgo is a direct connection to helping restore the damage we have done to this planet, especially here in my country. I recently collected over 700 seeds and plan to try and raise them anywhere possible. It would be nice to buy old farm land in the states and grow ginkgo, dawn red woods, and so much more. I am on a mission!

I have a ten year old male ginkgo, pyramid shape, and would very much like to find a female ginkgo, any shape. So far, it seems an impossible task.

Thank you for your excellent web site.

Montréal, Québec Canada";

THe Church of Saint-ANdrew and Saint Paul in downtown Montréal has several Ginko bilabo in its beautiful front lawns. I do not know when or why they were planted, obviously after 1932, the date of construction of the present church, which is listed as an "incourtunable" heritage property by the Québec government Do they require special attention or care? I believe they are male, since I have not noticed any fruit. Comments? Interested parties may consult the website which does not show them. However. I am requesting our web master to include a photo. www.standrewstpaul.com ";
